Meet Grace a musician, presenter and author, in 2013 she founded The Self-Esteem Team and went on to deliver mental health education to over 150,000 students, parents and teachers nationwide before she handed the team over. After much time spent in hundreds of education and creative spaces, Grace couldn't ignore that many are not yet safe for all and few are working to challenge problematic systems.

Education and the arts have the potential to make massive change. They've both always filled me with passion, inspiration and hope. I think they do that for others too. If we can generate change there, the sky really is the limit. I'll always create and perform and I'll always want those spaces to be the best they can be! So, in short, I'm excited to go all in. with anyone who's ready!
I'm so proud of The Self-Esteem Team and I learnt a lot along the way. It wasn't always easy though, seeing first hand that many experiences I had during the 90's are still commonplace today. Growing research into the link between serious mental health issues and racism hit all too close to home too. It just stopped making sense to focus on combating mental illness without combating one of its well documented causes.
Grace feels change in this area requires a different approach to those The Self-Esteem Team found to be successful
Largely society shares the idea that it's important for everyone to have good mental health and, individuals can make positive changes whenever they're ready to. This is different. There are ideological shifts and agreements to make before the learning can be any good to anyone. Then we have to work together to apply that knowledge and make changes.
All in. strives to not only educate but to problem solve and build communities and that are safe but also nurturing as well as being part of the solution by contributing to an ecosystem of progress.
